The Scuba Center Staff

Ray Simon
Ray has been the owner of The Scuba Center since 1993. Having started his diving recreationally overseas in 1974 while serving with the United States Marine Corps, he became a dive professional in 1986. Once retired from the USMC, he decided that owning a Scuba shop was how he would spend his retirement. He has traveled the world, diving numerous exotic places. Ray is a PADI Course Director, DAN Instructor Trainer, an Atlantis/Dolphin Rebreather Instructor Trainer as well as Tec-Deep Instructor Trainer. As one of only a dozen PADI Course Directors in the state of California, he has a reputation for extensive experience, vast dive knowledge, and strong, honest business practices.

 

 Omaira “Ochie” Moore - Customer Service Representative
Occhi is a native Venezuelan and Dive Master Candidate. She has been a PADI diver since 2004 and has dove most of the Caribbean, Aruba, Trinidad, Mexico, Thailand, and of course the Venezuelan coast. Occhi is also the Vice President of the dive club; Aqua Marines. Occhi has been with The Scuba Center since 2007.

 Sarah Araujo
Sarah is a former Marine turned scuba diver. She has been diving since 2005 and logged dives all over Mexico, Hawaii, and the California coast. Sarah is an Advanced Open Water Diver with an Enriched Air specialty certification. She is currently working on her Rescue Diver and has been with The Scuba Center since July 2008.
 
 Adrian Ledesma
Adrian, our Oceanside local, was Open Water certified in June 2007 and received his Advanced Open Water certification in August 2008. Adrian is already an avid free diver and plans to become a Dive Master in the near future. As an employee, Adrian aspires to build a castle out of the soft weight bags in the back of the store. Adrian has been an employee at The Scuba Center since April 2008.
